The Street Charging project

Drivers of electric vehicles had a hard time finding a charging station even though electricity is everywhere. So, we decided using electricity that was already available on the street and transformed lampposts, billboards and public toilets into free e-car charging stations.

In addition we created a website where users can find more information about the project, the brand and find the nearest street charging station. We also kept a log of all the energy used and collected interesting facts and figures to inform our audience and communicate about VW’s vision for the future of electric mobility.
